A very Happy New Year to everyone with thanks for all your support in 2024

​Winslow Rotary club were involved in the Rotary ‘Wrap up’ program collecting a warm winter coat for those families in need of a warm coat, those who are struggling with the rising cost of living, and the homeless. There were 2 collection boxes in November, one at The Winslow Health centre and the other at The Bell Hotel Winslow for a period of just 2 weeks only.

We collected 120 winter coats for women , children and men and these have all been delivered locally, now the winter weather has got colder.

We have delivered coats locally in Winslow linking up with those supported by the Winslow Food cupboard:
• Winslow church of England combined school
• The Milton Keynes Homeless centre
• Aylesbury action group for the homeless
• Connection support Wycombe, and Wycombe Homeless connection
• Aylesbury Women’s aid- shelter for those families affected by domestic violence.

Sacks of Hope
​​Our contribution of £500 to the Mehiel Foundation, was presented to the Founder of the Charity Lawrence Patrick by Janette Hannon, Vice President of Winslow Rotary Club. It will go towards the purchase of 461 ‘Sacks of Hope’ containing food and sanitary products, being distributed to underprivileged families in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in time for Christmas. 23 drop off points to schools, foodbanks and churches have been selected across the two Counties.

Christmas Hampers
£1200 has been contributed to purchase, pack and deliver Christmas Hampers to local people in need living in Winslow and the villages. Seen supervising the packing is Rotarian Pat Curtis and colleague. This is a yearly project by the Club and cheers up Christmas for many.
