Winslow Classic Car Run

What does Rotary do to raise the money we give to deserving causes?

​We run fund raising events for all to enjoy.

The big event in May was the Winslow Classic Car Run and what a
great success it was.  

Run over a 91 mile route through Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire it followed a’ tulip diagram’ plan, starting in Little Horwood and finishing at the Bucks Railway Centre in Quainton. 99 cars were entered, oldest being a 1925 Humber called ‘Poppy’. 28 other makes included MG’s, Jaguars, Ferraris, Triumphs, Alfa Romeos, Alvis, Daimler and Bentley, 28 different makes in all.

It was a non- competitive Charity event and raised £4250 from entries and local sponsorship. Main sponsors were Harrisons Storage.

It was enjoyed by all in very pleasant weather conditions, even the few non finishers!

The money raised will be distributed to local and International Rotary recognised charities.

Rotary can be part of the solution to help many needing assistance. If you have a cause, you are passionate about, or a project you want to get off the ground, or even if you need individual support to further an aid
programme, discuss it with us and if we can help, we will. We have a Budget that could contribute.
